Stock

Overview

Use the Stock (By Product) view to review stock by warehouse and product while preparing sales activity. Sales representatives and sales managers can use this view before progressing work from an Offer to an Order, helping them review the available stock position for the products involved.

The list displays stock records by warehouse and product, with visible columns including Warehouse, Product, Latest Supplier, Stock, Available Stock, and Committed Stock.

Before you start

  • Ensure that you have access to the Sales area and the Stock (By Product) view.
  • Know the warehouse or product you want to review.

Steps

  1. In the application navigation, select Stock (By Product).

  2. Review the stock list to identify the required warehouse and product. Use the visible stock columns to compare the recorded stock position, available stock, and committed stock for each product row.

  3. To locate a specific record, select the Search box and enter the warehouse, product, or supplier information available to you.

  4. Review the matching stock row before continuing sales work. Use the stock information when preparing an Offer or confirming an Order.

  5. Select Previous Page when you have finished reviewing stock and need to return to the prior page.

Tips & cautions

Tip: Review the warehouse as well as the product when checking stock. The same product can appear in more than one warehouse.

Note: Committed stock is shown separately from available stock. Use the available stock value when reviewing the stock position for sales activity.

Warning: Stock review does not move an Offer or Order through its lifecycle. An Offer must clear its approval and validity stages before it can become Ordered, and an Order must clear its approval and activation stages before it can progress to Delivered.

Troubleshooting

  • A required product is not visible → The list may contain many warehouse-product records → Use the Search box to narrow the list by available product, warehouse, or supplier information.
  • The stock position is not the value expected → The product may be listed for a different warehouse → Review the Warehouse value on the relevant row before using the stock information.
  • You cannot continue from an Order to Delivered → The Order may not have cleared the required order stages → Ensure the Order has progressed through Draft, Awaiting approval, Approved, Awaiting activation, Valid, and Ready for shipment before it becomes Delivered.

Result

You have reviewed stock by warehouse and product to support the next sales decision for an Offer or Order.
