Overview
Service Types is the Warehouse Settings list used to review the available service-type records and begin adding a new record when required. Warehouse and inventory managers can use this page when they need to check whether service-type records are present, search the list, or start a new entry. The current list may be empty; the page displays the visible record count.
Use this page before relying on a service type in an operational process, especially when the required record is not already visible in the list.
Settings
Service Types is maintained from Configurations > Warehouse Settings > Service Types. The available screen provides the list, search, filtering, export, and record-start actions, but it does not expose the fields used to define an individual service type or the confirmation action for saving it.
To prepare the list for use:
-
Open Configurations > Warehouse Settings > Service Types.
-
Review the visible count before making changes. A count of means that no Service Types records are currently visible in the list.
0 -
If you need to begin maintaining the list, select New. The subsequent record-entry fields are not available in the captured screen, so enter only the fields and confirmations displayed in your system after opening the new record.
Note: Do not assume that a service type has been created merely because you selected New. Confirm the record only when the next screen provides the required record details and a completion action.
The page also provides Settings (icn icn-settings) and Update (icn-update) actions. Their settings and update options are not shown in the available screen; use them only where your organization’s established Warehouse configuration process requires them.
Workflow
1. Decide whether to review existing records or start a new one
Open Configurations > Warehouse Settings > Service Types and check the list count.
- If you only need to verify whether records are available, review the list and use search or filtering as needed.
- If the required service type is not present and you are authorized to maintain the list, select New to begin a new record.
- If the page shows , there are no visible records to select or review.
Count: 0
This decision prevents unnecessary duplicate entries when a suitable record may already exist.
2. Decide whether to narrow the displayed list
Use Search when you need to find records matching a known word or identifier. Enter your search term, then select Apply filter to apply the current filtering criteria.
Review the resulting list and count:
- If the expected record is visible, stop filtering and use the record according to your normal Warehouse process.
- If the list is empty or the expected record is not shown, revise the search criteria and select Apply filter again.
- If you no longer want to use the current filter, select Cancel.
Warning: An empty filtered list does not necessarily mean that Service Types contains no records. It can mean that the current search or filter does not match any visible record.
3. Decide whether a new Service Types record is required
When searching does not identify the required record, select New.
Selecting New starts the new-record process. The available screen does not show the entry form, required fields, record status, or save/confirm action. Therefore:
- Complete the record only with the fields displayed after selecting New.
- Review the information before confirming it through the action available on that subsequent screen.
- If you decide not to proceed, cancel the new-record process using the cancellation option provided there.
If you do not have the necessary information to complete the record, do not create a partial or speculative entry. Return to the list and obtain the required service-type details through the appropriate Warehouse process.
4. Decide whether to export the visible list
Select Export when you need an output of the currently displayed Service Types list.
Apply any required search or filter before selecting Export if you want the export to reflect a narrowed list. The available screen does not show export format, destination, or included columns; review the options presented after selecting Export.
5. Decide whether to use related actions
The Service Types screen also provides Tickets, Attach, and Ok. Their related forms and results are not shown in the captured screen.
Use these actions only when they are part of your organization’s approved process and when the resulting dialog clearly identifies the record or information being handled. Select Ok only after reviewing the information shown in its associated dialog.
Examples
A warehouse manager needs to check whether a service type for “Calibration” is already available before requesting that a new record be maintained.
-
The manager opens Configurations > Warehouse Settings > Service Types.
-
The manager reviews the list count. The page currently shows , so no Service Types records are visible.
Count: 0 -
To verify that the required record is not hidden by the current list view, the manager enters in Search and selects Apply filter.
Calibration -
No matching record is displayed. The manager recognizes that the search result does not provide an existing Service Types record for the requested term.
-
Because a new record is required, the manager selects New.
-
On the next screen, the manager completes only the service-type information and confirmation options that are available in the system. Since those fields are not shown on the Service Types list screen, the manager does not assume a record name, status, or saving method.
-
After the new-record process is completed through the controls available on that screen, the manager returns to Service Types and uses Search with and Apply filter to verify that the record is now visible.

Tips
Tip: Search before selecting New. This helps you avoid starting a duplicate Service Types record when an appropriate record may already exist.
Tip: Apply the required filter before selecting Export so that the exported list reflects the records you intend to review.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| No Service Types records are displayed. | The list currently has no visible records, or the active filter does not match any records. | Check the displayed count, revise the value in Search, select Apply filter, or select Cancel to stop using the current filter. |
| The expected record cannot be found. | The search term may not match the available record, or the record may not be present. | Try a different search term and select Apply filter. If the required record is still not available, select New to begin the record-entry process. |
| A user cannot determine how to complete a new Service Types record. | The Service Types list screen does not expose the new-record fields or save action. | Select New and follow the fields and confirmation controls shown on the subsequent screen. Do not infer required values from the list view. |
| The exported result is not the expected set of records. | The list may have been exported before the intended search or filter was applied. | Set the required value in Search, select Apply filter, verify the displayed list, and then select Export. |
