Overview

Service Types are configured in Warehouse Settings to maintain the service type records used by the warehouse area. Configure Service Types when your organization needs to add or maintain a service type definition. This task is performed by an administrator who manages warehouse configuration.

Before you start

Sign in to the application before opening Service Types. The Service Types configuration screen requires a signed-in user.

Steps

Open Configurations, then navigate to Warehouse Settings > Service Types.
Review the existing Service Types records before creating a new entry. The Service Types page displays the configured records and their count.
Select New to begin a new Service Type configuration.
Complete the required values presented in the new configuration form. If character validation is applied, use only the permitted characters.
Resolve any validation messages before finalizing the configuration entry.

Tips & cautions

Warning: Where character validation is displayed, enter only underscore (_), hyphen (-), and period (.) characters.

Note: Required-field validation prevents completion until a value is provided for each required field.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	Likely cause	Fix
The Service Types page cannot be opened.	The user is not signed in.	Sign in, then navigate to Configurations > Warehouse Settings > Service Types.
A required-field message is displayed.	A required value has not been entered.	Enter a value in the field identified by the validation message.
A character-validation message is displayed.	A value contains characters that are not permitted.	Use only underscore (`_`), hyphen (`-`), and period (`.`) characters where the validation rule applies.

Result

You are positioned on Service Types and have selected New to begin a Service Type configuration.
