Overview
Rating Types define the response scale used for customer satisfaction surveys. Sales representatives, account managers, project managers, and quality control users use these types when reviewing the rating options available for customer feedback. Use this page when you need to locate, review, add, or export the rating type records used by Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
Settings
Open Configurations > ISOSettings > Rating Types to access the ISO settings list for rating types.
The available list contains rating type records, including a type name and the rating values presented from a positive to a negative response. Use the available list and filter controls to verify that the required rating scale is available before it is used in a Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Note: The available screen does not show detailed rating-type fields or save options. Use New only when you have the required rating type details and are authorised to maintain ISO settings.
Workflow
Open Configurations > ISOSettings > Rating Types.
Review the rating type records displayed in the ISO settings list. Use this list to identify the rating scale that best matches the survey you need to support.

New
Need to create a rating type? Select New to begin creating a new record.
Create a new rating type only when the required response scale is not already available in the list. Before creating a duplicate, search for existing records with similar type names and rating values.
Need to export the available rating types? Select Export.
Use this option when you need a copy of the displayed rating type information for review, reporting, or coordination with the team responsible for Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
Need to work with related survey records? Select Customer satisfaction survay from the available workflow controls.
This option opens the area associated with customer satisfaction surveys, where rating types are relevant to the survey response structure.
Customer satisfaction survay
The customer satisfaction survay tab contains the Customer Satisfaction Survey area associated with rating types. Use it to move from the rating-type context to the related survey function when you need to review the survey records that use customer feedback ratings.
The available screen does not show a control that moves an individual rating type into or out of this tab. Review the rating types in ISO settings and use Customer satisfaction survay when you need to continue with the related survey activity.
Tip: Keep rating values ordered consistently from the most positive response to the most negative response. This makes survey results easier to interpret across Accounts, projects, and QC reviews.
Examples
A project manager is preparing to review customer feedback for a completed job and needs to confirm which rating scale is available for the Customer Satisfaction Survey.
Open Configurations > ISOSettings > Rating Types.
Enter a relevant word, such as
Fast
or
Excellent
, in Search, then select Apply filter.
Review the matching rating type records and their available response values. Select Cancel if the filter is not needed.
Confirm that the appropriate scale is already listed. For example, select a scale that allows customers to rate service speed or overall service quality using clearly ordered responses.
If no suitable scale is available, select New to begin adding the required rating type. Avoid creating a new type when an existing type already provides the same rating range.
Select Customer satisfaction survay to continue to the related survey area after confirming the rating type.
Tips
Note: Search before selecting New. Similar rating types can lead to inconsistent Customer Satisfaction Survey results if different teams use different scales for the same purpose.
Tip: Use Export before a quality review or management discussion when you need to share the currently displayed rating type information.
Warning: Do not rely on a filtered list as the complete list of rating types. Select Cancel when you need to remove the current filter criteria and review all available records.
