Overview

Categories Questions is a reference-list area used to locate and review named question-related entries available in the business system. Use it when you need to find an existing reference entry, review its Serial Status view, start a new entry, or export the current list for operational use.

This page is available to users working across Sales, PM, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance who need to consult shared reference data. The available screen supports searching, filtering, refreshing, exporting, and opening a new record.

Settings

Open the feature from Configurations > Reference List Settings > Categories Questions (Categories qustions).

The Reference List Settings screen provides the following access and list controls:

ControlPurpose
Enter User NameEnter the user name requested by the screen.
Enter PasswordEnter the password requested by the screen.
LoginSubmit the entered user name and password.
SearchEnter text to locate relevant reference-list entries.
Apply filterApply the current search or filter criteria.
Refresh (icn-update)Refresh the displayed list.
Settings icon (icn icn-settings)Open the available settings icon action.
ExportExport the current list.
NewStart a new reference-list record.

The available screen does not expose any additional Categories Questions configuration fields or options. Do not assume that a search term, export, or new record action changes existing entries until the relevant action is completed on the screen.

Workflow

  1. Open Categories Questions (Categories qustions) from Configurations > Reference List Settings.

  1. Decide whether access is required before you work with the list.

    • If the screen requests credentials, complete Enter User Name and Enter Password.
    • Select Login to submit the entered credentials.
    • If you can already view the reference list, continue directly to the search decision.
  2. Decide whether you need a specific existing entry or the complete displayed list.

    • To locate an entry, type relevant text in Search, then select Apply filter.
    • To review the currently displayed entries again, select Refresh (icn-update).
    • To abandon the current action when Cancel is available, select Cancel.

The screen contains named reference-list records. Use the search and filter controls to reduce the displayed results before reviewing the Serial Status stage.

Tip: Use a distinctive part of the entry name in Search. Apply the filter before exporting so that the exported result reflects the list you intend to review.

  3. Decide whether to work with an existing record or begin a new one.

    • To begin a new record, select New.
    • To continue reviewing existing records, keep the current filtered list and open the serial status tab.

The provided screen does not show the fields or final confirmation action for a new record. Therefore, use New only to begin the available record-entry process; complete only the fields and actions presented after selecting it.

  4. Decide whether you need an exported copy of the list.

    • Select Export when the current results are ready to be exported.
    • Apply or revise the filter before exporting if you need a narrower set of entries.
    • If an on-screen confirmation is presented, select Ok to acknowledge it.

Note: Export works with the list currently displayed on the screen. Review the results after Apply filter before using Export.

Serial Status

The serial status tab is the available stage view for Categories Questions. It holds named reference-list entries associated with the Serial Status view, including question- and product-related reference entries visible in the list.

Use this tab to review the entries displayed after searching or applying a filter. No action is provided in the captured controls that moves a record into or out of the serial status stage, so this page documents the tab as a review view only.

Examples

A warehouse user needs to locate a question-related reference entry before reviewing its Serial Status information.

  1. The user opens Categories Questions (Categories qustions) from Configurations > Reference List Settings.
  2. If credentials are requested, the user enters the required values in Enter User Name and Enter Password, then selects Login.
  3. The user enters
    Pump
in Search and selects Apply filter.
  4. The user reviews the filtered reference-list entries and opens the serial status tab to view the available Serial Status stage.
  5. If the filtered list must be shared or retained outside the screen, the user selects Export.
  6. If no suitable entry is found, the user selects New to begin the new-record process presented by the system.

This process finishes with either a reviewed and, if needed, exported list of matching entries, or the start of a new reference entry.

Tips

Tip: Filter before opening the serial status tab when you are looking for a specific named entry. This keeps the stage view focused on the records relevant to your task.

Warning: Do not treat Cancel as a record-deletion action. The captured screen provides no indication that it deletes or modifies Categories Questions records.
