Guarantee Types — Configurations › General Settings › Guarantee Types

Overview

Use Guarantee Types to maintain the list of guarantee classifications available in the application, such as down payment guarantees, bid bonds, and performance bonds. Administrators use this configuration when the organization needs to add or review guarantee type records under General Settings.

Before you start

You must be signed in to access this configuration area.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Configurations > General Settings > Guarantee Types.

  2. Review the existing guarantee type records displayed in the list to determine whether the required type is already available.

  3. To begin adding a guarantee type, select New.

Note: Use consistent guarantee type names so that users can distinguish commercial guarantees, such as bid bonds and performance bonds, when working with related sales activities.

Tips & cautions

Tip: Review the existing list before selecting New to avoid creating duplicate guarantee type records.

Troubleshooting

  • You cannot open Guarantee Types → You may not be signed in → Sign in, then navigate to Configurations > General Settings > Guarantee Types.
  • A required guarantee type is not shown in the list → The type may not yet have been created → Select New to begin creating the required guarantee type.

Result

The Guarantee Types configuration list is available, and you can select New to begin adding a guarantee type.
