Overview

Use Categories Question Unit to maintain the reference-list entries used for category-question units. Administrators configure this list when setting up or updating reference data that supports category questions.

Before you start

You must have access to Configurations and the Reference List Settings area.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Configurations > Reference List Settings > Categories Question Unit.

  2. Review the existing Categories Question Unit entries to avoid creating a duplicate reference-list entry.

  3. Select New to begin adding a Categories Question Unit entry.

  4. Complete each required entry presented in the configuration form. The form validates required information before the entry can be completed.

  5. If a format validation message is displayed, revise the affected value to use only underscore (_), hyphen (-), and period (.) characters where required.

Tips & cautions

Warning: Do not leave required entries blank. The form displays the validation message “This Field Is Required” when mandatory information is missing.

Note: One configuration value accepts only underscore (_), hyphen (-), and period (.) characters.

Troubleshooting

  • A required-field validation message is displayed → A mandatory entry has not been completed → Enter a value in each required entry presented on the form.

  • A character-format validation message is displayed → The entered value contains unsupported characters → Use only underscore (_), hyphen (-), and period (.) characters in the affected value.

  • The Categories Question Unit list is not available → The configuration navigation path has not been selected → Open Configurations > Reference List Settings > Categories Question Unit.

Result

The Categories Question Unit reference-list configuration area is available for maintaining category-question unit entries.
