Reports Settings is a configuration record used to maintain report-related settings within the application. Use it when you need to create or update a Reports Settings record and retain any supporting file as an attachment. This feature is available to users who work with application configuration and reporting.
Note: Save changes before leaving the record to ensure that they are retained.
Workflow
Open Configuration Reports from the application navigation and open the Reports Settings configuration record.
Decide whether you need to add supporting material to the record.
To attach a file, select Attach and choose the required file, or drag the file to Drop a file here.
Select Ok after completing the attachment action.
Reports Settings
Decide how to finish the record.
Select Save to retain the record and continue working.
Select Save and Close to retain the record and return from the form.
Select today when you need to use the available date action before saving.
Tip: Use Save when you expect to make further changes. Use Save and Close when the record is complete.
Examples
A sales manager needs to retain a supporting report document with the Reports Settings record.
The manager opens Configuration Reports and accesses the Reports Settings record.
The manager selects Attach and uploads Monthly_Sales_Report_August.pdf, then selects Ok.
The manager selects Save and Close to retain the attachment and finish the update.
The supporting report is now stored with the Reports Settings record.
Tips
Tip: Use clear, business-relevant file names for attached reports, such as Q3_Sales_Targets.pdf or Warehouse_Stock_Report.xlsx.
Warning: Do not leave the form after attaching a file without selecting Save or Save and Close.
