Serial Status — Configurations › Reference List Settings › Serial StatusNew
Overview
Serial Status is a reference list used to view and maintain the statuses available for serial-related records. Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, PM, and Finance users may consult this list when working with serial-controlled products and related operational records. Use it when you need to locate an existing serial status, review the available status entries, or export the displayed list.
Settings
Open Configurations > Reference List Settings > Serial Status to access the Serial Status reference list.
The screen includes a Settings (icn icn-settings) action, but no configurable options, fields, or setting descriptions are provided on the available screen. Therefore, no Serial Status setup values can be documented from this view.
Note: Use the Serial Status screen as the authoritative list of currently available serial-status records. Do not assume that a status is available until you have confirmed it in the list.
Workflow
Navigate to Configurations > Reference List Settings > Serial Status.
Review the displayed serial-status records before creating or changing reference data. The list currently shows a count of available records.

Need to find a specific status? Enter a search term in Search, then select Apply filter.
Use this decision point when the list contains more records than you need to review. Applying the filter limits the displayed list to records matching the search term.
Need to clear the current search? Remove the search term and select Apply filter again.
If you decide not to use the current search criteria, use Cancel to stop the current action where it is available.
Need to add a serial-status record? Select New.
The available screen data confirms that a new record can be initiated from this list. However, the available material does not identify the fields, validation rules, or confirmation action in the new-record form. Complete only the fields presented in the resulting form according to your organisation’s approved serial-status naming policy.
Need an external copy of the displayed list? Select Export.
Export only after applying any required search filter. This ensures that the export reflects the set of serial-status records currently displayed on screen.
Need to associate a file with the current activity? Select Attach and use the available files[] area.
The supplied screen identifies an attachment action and file area, but does not define file requirements or attachment behaviour.
Tip: Apply a filter before exporting when you need a focused list for a Warehouse review, QC discussion, or project record check.
Category Question Unit
Serial Status — Configurations › Reference List Settings › Serial StatusNew
The Category Question Unit (Categories question unit) tab is available from the Serial Status screen. It displays reference-list information associated with category question units. Use this tab to review the records shown in that view and to return to Serial Status through the available workflow navigation when you need to work with serial-status entries.
The available screen data does not identify a control that moves records into or out of this tab. Therefore, treat the tab as a separate reference-list view rather than as a confirmed Serial Status lifecycle transition.
Examples
A Warehouse manager needs to provide the current serial-status reference list for an internal stock-control review.
Open Configurations > Reference List Settings > Serial Status.
Enter the relevant status wording in Search.
Select Apply filter and confirm that the displayed results contain the intended serial-status entry or entries.
If the results are correct, select Export to produce a copy of the filtered list.
If the search results are not correct, revise the text in Search, select Apply filter, and review the updated list before exporting.
If a supporting file must be included with the activity, select Attach and use files[].
The result is an exported serial-status list based on the records currently displayed after filtering.
Tips
Warning: Do not rely on an export made before applying the required filter. The export may include serial-status records that are not relevant to the current review.
Tip: Use clear, consistent search wording when checking reference data. This helps you distinguish similarly named serial-status records.
Note: The available screen does not show the fields used to define a new status. Confirm your organisation’s approved status values before selecting New.
