Before you start

Sign in before opening the Configuration area. Your account needs editing access to change a serial combination. The configuration area also depends on the serial-combination feature being included in your subscription.

The record must be available before you can maintain its rows. Open a saved record from its row in the serial-combination list.

Find and open a serial combination

A serial-combination list is the place to identify an existing pattern before you review or change its component rows.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in.
  • You know which serial pattern you need to review.

Steps

  1. In Configuration, open Serial combinations.

Review the empty serial-combination list and its Name and Serial Combination headers.
  2. Read the Name column to identify the serial type.

  3. Read the Serial Combination column to review the displayed pattern.

  4. Use the available search field when it is shown.

Locate the list search area above the serial-combination grid.
  5. Select the row or its edit control to open the configuration record.

Result: The selected serial-combination record opens.

Understand the list and configuration fields

The list summarizes each pattern, while the configuration record arranges its component rows in the order used by the pattern.

The list contains these columns:

ColumnWhat it contains
NameThe serial type name from the lookup list.
Serial CombinationThe generated pattern readout.

The configuration grid contains these fields:

DigitsSelect the available digit count for the selected component. The field is shown only for components that use a digit count.
Default ValueEnter the default value for the selected component when Default Value is available.

When the record has audit history, select Last Modifications to read the change history.

Review the Serial Component, Digits, and Default Value columns in the configuration grid.

The configuration record also contains an ordering area and an action area without text labels. The list provides edit and reset actions as icons.
