A branch record is the company information for one branch. Use it to maintain company information, address details, contact information, and saved-record settings.

Before you start

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in.
  • You have access to the branch record.
  • You have the branch information, address details, and contact details you want to enter.
  • You know whether the branch already has jobs. Reference Currency is disabled when it does.
  • You know that Display Name and the two parts of Financial Year Start have conditional required rules, while Reference Currency and Local currency are required.
  • You have an existing saved branch before opening **Default ** or Last Modifications.

Find and open the branch

Open the branch from the company configuration area when you need to maintain its information.

Prerequisites

  • You are signed in.

Steps

  1. Open Configurations.
  2. Open Company.
  3. Open Branches.
  4. Select the branch row you want to maintain.

The edit screen opens for the selected branch. The page can also load a saved branch logo before showing the branch details.

Review the branch fields and required markers

Result: The selected branch opens on its edit screen.

Understand the branch information

The edit screen groups the branch identity, registration, currency, address, contact, margin, and history information you maintain.

The edit screen shows the branch fields and required markers on Display Name, Financial Year Start, Reference Currency, and Local currency. The page uses field rows rather than a grid.

Review the financial-year and currency fields

Maintain branch details and contacts

Use this procedure to change branch information, add contact rows, and save the changed record.

Prerequisites

  • You have opened an existing branch.
  • You have the values to enter in the branch fields.

Steps

  1. Select the field you want to change.

  2. Enter or select the new value.

  3. Repeat the field update for each value you need to change.

  4. Open Contact Information.

  5. Choose one contact type from the following options.

  6. Enter the contact value in the new contact row.

  7. Select Save to save the branch and remain on the record.

  8. Select Save and Close to save the branch and leave the record instead.

Check the save controls after updating a branch

When a required value is empty, the form displays Name is required for Display Name or required for the required fields. When Display Name or Full Name contains a disallowed character, the form displays Just '_' '-' And '.' Characters Accepted.

Result: The changed branch remains on the record after Save, or the record closes after Save and Close. A successful branch save displays Branch saved Successfully.

Review saved areas and default margins

Saved-record areas provide the branch's default-margin settings and its modification history.

Note: **Default ** and Last Modifications are available after the branch has an existing saved record.

Prerequisites

  • The branch is saved and has an existing record ID.

Steps

  1. Select **Default ** to open the default-margin area.

  2. Select one margin mode.

  3. Enter the margin values shown for the selected mode.

  4. Select Save in the default-margin area.

  5. Select Last Modifications to open the history area.

  6. Choose values in Action users and Fields to narrow the history.

For a descending mode without a degressive margin list, the page displays Please insert degressive margin list. A successful default-margin save displays Data saved Successfully. If that save fails, the page displays Error while saving data .

Result: The selected saved-record area is on screen, or the default-margin save displays its result.

Fix validation and save problems

Use the message on screen to identify the correction needed before saving again.

Steps

  1. Read the message displayed on the page.

  2. Apply the matching correction or choice.

If Branch saved Successfully does not appear, remain on the record and review the values before trying again.

Result: The corrected value is ready for saving, the selected logo action is complete, or the record is left without saving.

Continue after editing

After maintaining the branch, choose the next area according to the work you need to do.
