Inventory transfers and returns

Inventory transfers and returns organize the movement of goods and the work that follows it. Use this page for receipts, deliveries, internal transfers, manufacturings, batches, waves, returns, destruction certificates, inter-company transfers, scheduler runs, scrap, and landed costs. These destinations sit under Inventory operations and adjustments.

Before opening a destination, continue with Before you start.

Before you start

The inventory destinations covered here are listed under the Inventory menu. Before you begin, know which movement or return job you need to perform and which destination names it uses.

Begin with the destination that matches the work you need to do rather than entering information in an unrelated list.

When you know the work, continue with Find the inventory work.

Find the inventory work

Use this procedure when you need to reach a movement, return, destruction, inter-company, batch, or landed-cost list.

Prerequisites

  • You can sign in to Sherkety ERP.
  • You know whether you are looking for a movement, a return, a destruction certificate, an inter-company transfer, a batch, a wave, a scheduler run, scrap, or landed costs.

Steps

  1. Open Inventory.

  2. Open Operations for receipts, deliveries, internal movements, manufacturings, batches, waves, returns, and inter-company transfers.

  3. Open Transfers when the destination is grouped under transfers.

  4. Choose the destination that matches your work.

    If you need to…Choose
    Work with incoming goodsReceipts
    Work with grouped movementsBatch Transfers
Work with movements between companiesInter-Company Transfers
    Work with returnsAll Returns
    Work with destruction recordsDestruction Certificates
Work with added inventory costsLanded Costs

Result: The destination that matches your inventory work is selected. Review the selected destination before entering inventory information.

Understand the available screens

Each inventory work type has its own destination rather than one combined entry screen.

Appearance settings control the application's look. If they open, you are not in an Inventory destination. The appearance settings include these controls:

ControlType
Menu StyleSelect
Font TypeSelect
Preloader OptionSelect
Theme ColorsSelect
Brand ColorSelect
Background ColorSelect
Sidebar ColorSelect
Chatter PositionSelect

The appearance settings screen does not show inventory grid columns. Treat these settings as appearance controls, not as fields for a receipt, delivery, transfer, return, destruction certificate, inter-company transfer, batch, wave, scheduler run, scrap record, or landed cost.

Note: The screen also provides Save and Reset To Default for its appearance settings.

When the destination is an Inventory list, continue with Process inventory movements and transfers or Handle batches, returns, and inventory extras.
