Inspect Organization Audit Activity

page
3 min readUpdated

Use the organization’s Activity Feed to review administrative and workspace-related activity. Regular review helps you maintain oversight of security-sensitive changes and identify items that may require follow-up.

Overview

Atloria groups security and privacy information in the workspace administration area. From the workspace sidebar, you can open Security and review the available security content, including Activity Feed and Monitoring & Audit information.

The activity area is useful when you need to understand what has occurred in the workspace during the current review session. Use it as part of routine security oversight, especially after administrative changes, access reviews, or updates to workspace settings.

The Security area also presents broader context through Security & Trust Findings. These findings include sections such as Infrastructure Security Architecture, Network Security, Kubernetes Security, Database Security, and Application Security & Access Control. Review these sections alongside activity information when you need a fuller picture of the organization’s security posture.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that:

  • You can sign in to the Atloria workspace you want to review.
  • You have access to the workspace administration and security areas.
  • You know which workspace activity or administrative change you are investigating.
  • You have access to any internal review process your organization uses for security and privacy oversight.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the workspace that you want to review.

  2. Locate the Workspace Sidebar.

  3. Select Security in the workspace sidebar.

  7. Review the entries shown in the Activity Feed.

  8. Read What shipped — beyond the report (this session's audits) when you need to understand the audit-related information presented for the current session.

  9. Open Monitoring & Audit to review the monitoring and audit context available in the Security area.

  10. Review Infrastructure Security Architecture when the activity you are investigating may relate to infrastructure controls.

  11. Review Network Security when you need context about network-related security protections.

  12. Review Kubernetes Security when your investigation concerns container or cluster security.

  13. Review Database Security when you need to consider data storage or database protections.

  14. Review Application Security & Access Control when the activity may involve application permissions or access controls.

  15. Select Privacy if you need to continue your review with Atloria’s privacy information.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Start with Activity Feed when you have a specific administrative or workspace event to review. It is the most direct security-area entry point for activity oversight.

  • Review the activity information together with Security & Trust Findings. Activity shows what you are reviewing, while the findings provide security context through areas such as Monitoring & Audit and Application Security & Access Control.

  • Use What shipped — beyond the report (this session's audits) as a session-focused review point. Because the label refers to “this session’s audits,” revisit it when starting a new review session rather than relying on a prior session’s view.

  • When an item appears relevant to more than one security domain, check each applicable section. For example, an access-related concern may warrant review of both Application Security & Access Control and Database Security.

  • Include activity review in your regular administrative routines. Reviewing security and workspace activity after significant changes helps you identify concerns while the related work is still current.

  • Use Privacy as a companion area when your review involves privacy obligations or the handling of organization information.

Troubleshooting

You cannot find the Security area

Return to the Workspace Sidebar and look for Security. If the option is not available, confirm that you are in the intended workspace and contact your workspace administrator to verify your access.

You cannot find Activity or Activity Feed

Open Security first, then select Activity. The activity information is presented as Activity Feed within the security-related content.

You need more context for an activity item

Review Monitoring & Audit and the relevant security finding area, such as Network Security, Database Security, or Application Security & Access Control. If the item concerns privacy handling, continue to Privacy for related information.
