Connect a supported project source to an Atloria project so Atloria can analyze the project and make its source available for project-level work. This connection is also required before you can verify that Atloria can reach the source.
Overview
A project source is the codebase or other supported source location that Atloria uses for source analysis. You connect the source while creating a project or manage the connection later from the project’s Source area.
Use this process when you are setting up a new project, changing the source associated with an existing project, or confirming that Atloria can access a source after connection details have changed. The Test Connection action helps you verify the connection before relying on source analysis results.
After a source is connected and processing completes, Atloria can use the project source as the basis for analysis. If a connection is no longer needed, you can remove it with Disconnect. Disconnecting a source prevents further work that depends on that project’s connected source until you connect one again.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- Access to the Atloria Projects area.
- Permission to create or manage the target project.
- A supported project source that your organization is authorized to connect.
- The source location and any access information required by your organization’s source provider.
- A decision about whether you are creating a New Project or updating an existing project.
- Network and access permissions that allow Atloria to reach the selected source.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Connect a source while creating a project

Select Projects to open the list of available projects.

Select New Project to start creating a project.

Enter the required project information on the new-project screen.

Provide the source connection information required for the supported source you want to connect.

Select Create project to create the project with the source connection.

Select ⚡ Test Connection to check whether Atloria can reach the connected source.

Review the connection result before proceeding with source analysis.

Select Open Project Dashboard to return to the project after the connection has been verified.
Connect or verify a source for an existing project

Select Projects to open the project list.

Use Search projects... to find the project you want to update.

Select the project to make it the active project.

Select Source from the project options.

Enter or update the connection information for the supported source.

Select Test Connection to verify access to the source.

Review the test result and correct the source information if the connection is not successful.

Select View Source when you need to inspect the connected source from the project.

Disconnect a project source

Open the project that currently has the source connection.

Select Source.

Select Disconnect to remove the source connection from the project.

Confirm the disconnect action if Atloria asks you to confirm it.

Return to Projects when you are finished managing the project connection.
Tips and Best Practices

Test the connection immediately after creating the project or changing source details. Selecting Test Connection early helps you identify access problems before you expect source analysis to run.

Use Search projects... when your organization has many projects. This helps you avoid changing the source connection for the wrong project.

Confirm that you are working in the intended active project before selecting Disconnect. A disconnect removes the project’s current source association and can interrupt work that depends on source access.

Use View Source as a quick check that you are working with the expected project source after a successful connection.

If analysis completes with warnings, review the source connection and source contents before assuming all source material was processed as expected. A completed analysis can require follow-up when warnings are present.

Keep project-source ownership clear within your team. Limit source connection changes to administrators or users who understand the project’s intended source and access requirements.

Troubleshooting
Test Connection does not succeed
Verify that the source location and access information are current and that your organization still permits Atloria to access the source. Update the connection information in Source, then select Test Connection again.
You cannot find the project to update
Open Projects and use Search projects... with the project name. If the project still does not appear, confirm that you have access to the correct Atloria workspace or ask an administrator to verify your project permissions.
View Source does not show the expected source
Confirm that you selected the correct project and open Source to review its connection information. If the wrong source is connected, update the connection details and select Test Connection before using View Source again.
