Overview
Branches are company records used to maintain the identity, registration, tax, address, and management details of each business branch. Sales representatives, account managers, project managers, purchasing officers, warehouse managers, and finance officers use branch information when working with company-related operational records.
Use the Branches configuration when a new branch must be recorded or when an existing branch’s business details change. The available screens provide no branch status or approval lifecycle; a branch remains available for maintenance until it is saved, closed, or deleted.
Settings
Maintain branch information from Configurations > Company > Branches > Branches. Work with the branch record before it is needed in Sales, PM, Purchasing, Warehouse, or Finance activities so that its legal and address information is complete.
The branch entry form contains the following details:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Branch | The branch name or identifier. |
| Full Name | The full branch name. |
| Statement | The statement associated with the branch. |
| Managing Director | The name of the branch’s managing director. |
| Company Registration No. | The branch company registration number. |
| VAT ID Number | The branch VAT identification number. |
| VatRate | The VAT rate value for the branch. |
| Day | The day value recorded for the branch. |
| Month | The month value recorded for the branch. |
| Currency | The currency recorded for the branch. |
| Street | The branch street address. |
| Zip Code | The branch postal or ZIP code. |
| Country | The branch country. |
| State | The branch state or regional location. |
Note: Complete the legal identity, VAT, and address details consistently. These fields identify the branch record and should match the business information used by your organization.
Workflow
1. Open the branch records
- Go to Configurations > Company > Branches.
- Select Branches to work with the available branch records.
At this point, decide whether you need to maintain an existing branch record or complete a new branch record. The provided screens do not show a separate branch status, approval action, or confirmation stage.

- Open the branch entry form for the branch you need to maintain.
- In Branch, enter the branch name or identifier.
- In Full Name, enter the branch’s complete name.
- Complete Statement if your branch record requires a statement.
- Enter the responsible person in Managing Director.
- Enter the legal registration reference in Company Registration No..
- Enter the branch tax identification in VAT ID Number.
Tip: Use a clear and consistent value in Branch and Full Name. This helps users distinguish branches when working across Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, PM, and Finance.
3. Record tax, date, currency, and address information
- Enter the applicable value in VatRate.
- Complete Day and Month as required for the branch record.
- Select or enter the applicable Currency.
- Enter the street address in Street.
- Enter the postal code in Zip Code.

Review the record before saving. In particular, check that the company registration number, VAT ID number, currency, and address relate to the same branch.
4. Decide how to save the branch
After entering or revising the branch details, choose the action that matches your next task:
- Select Save when you want to save the current branch details and remain on the branch form.
- Select Save and Close when the branch record is complete and you want to save it before leaving the form.
- Select Close when you want to leave the form without using a save action.
Warning: Use Save or Save and Close before selecting Close when you want to retain the changes you entered.
5. Remove a branch that should no longer be kept
- Open the branch record that must be removed.
- Review the branch name, registration information, and address to make sure you are working with the correct record.
- Select Delete.
- If the screen displays a confirmation prompt, select Ok to confirm the deletion.
Use Delete only when the branch record should be removed. The available screens do not show an archive, inactive, or restore action.
Examples
A company opens a new operating branch in Dubai and needs its company details available in the business platform.
- The finance officer goes to Configurations > Company > Branches > Branches.
- On the branch entry form, the officer enters:
- Branch: Dubai Operations
- Full Name: Dubai Operations Branch
- Statement: Dubai Operations Branch Statement
- Managing Director: Amina Rahman
- Company Registration No.: DUB-CR-458721
- VAT ID Number: AE123456789012345
- VatRate: 5
- Day: 1
- Month: January
- Currency: AED
- Street: Sheikh Zayed Road
- Zip Code: 00000
- Country: United Arab Emirates
- State: Dubai
- The officer reviews the registration number, VAT ID number, and address to ensure that all information refers to Dubai Operations Branch.
- Because no further changes are required, the officer selects Save and Close.
The branch information is now recorded as a completed branch entry. If the registration number, VAT information, managing director, or address changes later, the user can return to the same branch record, revise the applicable fields, and select Save or Save and Close.
Tips
Tip: Use Save when you need to continue checking or completing branch information on the current form. Use Save and Close when the record is complete.
Note: The branch form includes both legal and operational identity fields. Keep Company Registration No., VAT ID Number, Currency, Country, and State aligned with the branch’s current business details.
Warning: Before selecting Delete, verify Branch and Full Name carefully. The supplied screen does not provide an archive or restore option.
