Following is a relationship between your profile and another user's profile. A profile is the page for a person's basic information and article views.
Follow another user
Use following when you want to follow that person's profile from the profile screen.

Following is available from another person's profile rather than from your own profile.

- Open the person's profile.
Result: The person's profile opens.
Understand the profile screen
The profile screen places the relationship control beside the person's profile information. It changes its wording according to whether you already follow that person.

| You already follow the person | Unfollow followed by the profile username |
| You do not follow the person | Follow followed by the profile username |
| You opened your own profile | No relationship control |
The profile screen does not use a follow input, selector, or confirmation dialog. The control directly performs the relationship action.
Follow or unfollow the profile owner
Use this procedure to change the relationship shown on the profile.
Prerequisites
- You have opened another person's profile.
- You can see the relationship control beside the profile information.
Steps

Select the control that matches the relationship you want to set.
If the profile shows… Select… You do not follow the person Follow You already follow the person Unfollow -
Check the profile information.
Result: The profile uses the profile returned by the selected relationship action.
