## Prerequisites

- Access to the **Market** app.
- Permission to view and, where required, update records in the Market areas used by your organization.
- Familiarity with your organization’s clients, principals, accounts, projects, and registration processes.
- Awareness of the information your organization expects to be recorded for market work.

## Module 1: Establish the market record foundation

Build a consistent understanding of the core organizations and accounts that support market activity.

### Lesson 1.1: Work with client records

When you need to capture or review information about a customer organization, start with the client record rather than storing the information elsewhere. Open **Clients**, locate the relevant client, and review or maintain the information available on that record according to your organization’s process.

**Practice task:** Open **Clients** and review one client record that you may need for upcoming market work.

### Lesson 1.2: Work with principals and accounts

When market work involves a principal organization or an account, use the appropriate record type so that information is kept in the correct place. Open [Principals](doc:principals-guide) to work with principal records, and use [accounts](doc:accounts-market) when your task concerns an account record. Confirm which record type matches the business situation before maintaining information.

**Practice task:** Open [Principals](doc:principals-guide) and [accounts](doc:accounts-market), then identify which screen you would use for one principal-related task and one account-related task.

## Module 2: Support active market work

Use projects and registrations to record and follow operational work as it happens.

### Lesson 2.1: Manage market projects

When a market initiative needs to be tracked as a project, use [Projects](doc:projects-guide). Locate the relevant project record, review the information available for the initiative, and maintain the project record as needed for your organization’s workflow.

**Practice task:** Open [Projects](doc:projects-guide) and review a project that is relevant to your current market activity.

### Lesson 2.2: Record and follow up on registrations

When a registration requires attention, use **Registrations** to locate and manage its record. Review the registration information available in the screen and update or follow up on it in line with your organization’s registration process.

**Practice task:** Open **Registrations** and identify one registration that requires review or follow-up.

## Module 3: Review and prioritize the market portfolio

Bring together project and registration work to support ongoing oversight and timely action.

### Lesson 3.1: Review active project work

When preparing for a market review, begin with [Projects](doc:projects-guide) to assess the project records that need attention. Review the available project information, identify records that require action, and use the project record as the basis for your follow-up.

**Practice task:** Use [Projects](doc:projects-guide) to select one project for follow-up and note the action you need to take outside the app.

### Lesson 3.2: Perform a registration follow-up review

When performing periodic operational follow-up, use **Registrations** to review registration records alongside your active work. Focus on the registrations that require a response, confirmation, or other next step under your organization’s process.

**Practice task:** Review **Registrations** and create a short priority list of two registrations to address.
