## Overview

Use Stocking to record stock-related information in the Warehouse area. Warehouse managers and other users with access to warehouse functions use this page when stock information must be entered and saved as a WarehouseDetails record. Complete the required information before saving the record.

## Before you start

Ensure that you have access to **Warehouse** and **Stock Product**. Have the required stocking information available before you begin, because the form validates required entries when you save.

## Steps

1. On the application navigation bar, select **Warehouse**.

2. Select **Stock Product** to work with the stocking record.

3. Enter the required stocking information on the form. Complete every field marked as required before saving.

4. To keep the stocking record open after saving it, select **Save**.

5. To save the stocking record and exit the page, select **Save and Close**.

## Tips & cautions

> **Note:** The form validates the record when you select **Save** or **Save and Close**. A stocking record cannot be saved while required information is missing.

> **Warning:** If you leave the page after making changes without saving, the application displays a warning about unsaved changes.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The stocking record does not save. | One or more required fields are incomplete. | Complete the required information and select **Save** again. |
| A warning appears when leaving the page. | The stocking record contains unsaved changes. | Select **Save** to retain the changes, or discard the changes when appropriate. |
| The Warehouse area is not available. | Your user account does not have access to the warehouse functions. | Use an account with access to **Warehouse** and **Stock Product**. |

## Result

The stocking record is validated and saved, or saved and closed, according to the action you selected.
