# Stock by Products

## Overview

Use **Stock (By Product)** to review warehouse stock by product. This list is useful for warehouse and inventory managers who need to compare available and committed stock, review the latest supplier, and focus on products in a particular warehouse. Use search, filters, and saved layouts to present the stock information needed for daily operational decisions.

## Workflow

1. Open the stock-by-product list.

   From the main navigation, select **Warehouse**, then select **Stock (By Product)**.

2. Decide which products to review.

   Enter a product name, warehouse name, or other relevant value in **Search**, then select **Apply filter** to refresh the displayed stock list. Review the available columns, including **Warehouse**, **Product**, **Latest Supplier**, **Stock Available**, and **Stock Committed**.

   > **Tip:** Apply a filter before exporting or saving a layout so that the list focuses on the products relevant to the current review.

3. Decide whether the standard column arrangement is sufficient.

   Select **Standard Layout** to use the default list arrangement. If you need different information in the list, select **Columns Chooser** and choose the columns required for your review.

4. Decide whether to save the arrangement for later use.

   To create a reusable arrangement, select **Add Layout**, enter a value in **Layout name**, and select **Save**. To change the currently selected saved arrangement, select **Update Current** after adjusting the columns or filters.

   If a saved arrangement is no longer required, select **Delete Current**.

   > **Note:** Use clear layout names that identify the purpose of the view, such as “Available Stock Review” or “Committed Stock Check.”

5. Export the displayed result when you need to share or analyse it outside the list.

   Confirm that the required filter and layout are active, then select **Export**.

## Examples

A warehouse manager needs to review stock for Groove Nut at the 6Th Of October warehouse before checking an upcoming requirement.

1. Open **Warehouse** > **Stock (By Product)**.

2. In **Search**, enter `Groove Nut` and select **Apply filter**.

3. Review the matching product row for the 6Th Of October warehouse. Check **Stock Available** and **Stock Committed** alongside the product and supplier information.

4. Select **Columns Chooser** if additional displayed columns are needed for the review.

5. Select **Add Layout**, enter `Groove Nut Stock Review` in **Layout name**, and select **Save** to retain the chosen arrangement.

6. Select **Export** to create an export of the filtered stock list for further review.

## Tips

> **Tip:** Use **Standard Layout** when you want to return to the default list arrangement after working with a custom layout.

> **Note:** Select **Update Current** only when you intend to replace the current saved layout with your latest column or filter changes.

> **Warning:** Select **Delete Current** only when the currently selected saved layout is no longer needed.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The list does not show the products you expected. | The search criteria has not been applied or is too restrictive. | Review the value in **Search** and select **Apply filter** again. |
| A required stock field is not visible. | The current layout does not include the required column. | Select **Columns Chooser** and adjust the displayed columns. |
| Changes to a saved layout are not retained. | The updated arrangement has not been saved to the current layout. | Select **Update Current** after making the required changes. |
| The export contains more records than required. | The list was exported before the intended filter was applied. | Enter the required criteria in **Search**, select **Apply filter**, and then select **Export**. |
