# Warehouse

## Overview

Use the Warehouse form to maintain warehouse details used in warehouse operations. Warehouse managers use this form when creating or updating a warehouse record, including its name, short name, description, position values, and area details. Use the form whenever warehouse information requires review or maintenance.

## Before you start

You must have access to the **Warehouse** module and the **Warehouses** page.

## Steps

1. In the main navigation, select **Warehouse**, and then select **Warehouses**.

2. Open the warehouse form that you need to maintain. Enter or update the warehouse identification and location information:
   - Enter the warehouse **Name**.
   - Enter the **Short name**.
   - Enter a **Description**.
   - Enter values in **X Position, Y Position**, and **Z Position** as required.
   - Enter the **Receiving area**.
   - Complete **Stock area** or **Store area**, where available on the form.

3. Select **Save** to save the warehouse form. Select **Save and Close** when you have completed the update and are ready to leave the form.

## Tips & cautions

> **Tip:** Use a clear **Name** and **Short name** so that warehouse records are easier to identify during warehouse activities.

> **Note:** Complete the position and area fields consistently for each warehouse record.

## Result

The warehouse form is saved with the entered or updated warehouse details.
