## Overview

Use Account Managers to review and maintain the list of account manager records available in the system. Sales representatives and account managers can use this area to locate managers by name and review the displayed email address, phone number, position, and active status. You can also adjust the list layout so that the most useful columns are visible for your daily work.

## Settings

Before working with account manager records, select an appropriate list layout. The screen provides a standard layout and tools for creating, updating, and removing layouts.

| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Layout name | Identifies a layout. |
| Standard Layout | Returns the list to the standard layout. |
| Add Layout | Starts the creation of an additional layout. |
| Columns Chooser | Opens the column selection tool for the list. |
| Update Current | Updates the current layout. |
| Delete Current | Removes the current layout. |
| Delete | Provides a deletion action. |
| Save | Saves the current changes. |
| Cancel | Cancels the current action. |

> **Note:** Use a clear, work-related layout name so that you can recognise the layout when selecting it later.

To prepare the list for daily use:

1. Open **Configurations > Account Managers**.

2. Decide whether the standard list arrangement meets your needs. To use the default arrangement, select **Standard Layout**.

3. If you need a different arrangement, select **Columns Chooser** and choose the columns you need to review account manager records, such as Name, Email, Phone, Position, and Active.

4. When creating a separate arrangement, select **Add Layout**, enter a value in **Layout name**, and select **Save**. Use **Cancel** if you decide not to keep the layout.

5. When you change an existing layout, select **Update Current** to apply the changes to the current layout. If a layout is no longer needed, use **Delete Current** or **Delete**, as appropriate to the deletion action available on screen.

> **Warning:** Deleting a layout can remove the current list arrangement. Confirm that you are removing the intended layout before using a deletion action.

## pm settings

The **pm settings** tab presents account manager records in a list. Use the available columns—Name, Email, Phone, Position, and Active—to identify the relevant manager and review the information shown for that record.

The captured screen does not provide a tab-specific action that moves records into or out of **pm settings**. Use the tab to review the displayed account manager information and use the available search and selection controls to narrow the list when required.

## Workflow

Account manager records do not show a status field or a documented state progression on the captured screen. Manage the list by deciding whether you need to find an existing record, start a new record, or revise the way records are displayed.

1. **Review the current account manager list.** Open **Configurations > Account Managers** and confirm that the visible columns provide enough information to identify the required record.

2. **If you need to find an existing account manager, search or select the relevant records.** Enter a query in **Search** to narrow the list. Use **Select...** or **Select** when a selection control is needed to refine the records shown.

   > **Tip:** Search using a distinctive value visible in the list, such as a name, email address, phone number, or position, to reduce the number of results.

3. **If the required account manager is not listed, start a new record.** Select **Add account manager**. Complete the account manager information using the fields presented after selecting this action, then use the available completion controls on that record screen.

4. **If the list is difficult to review, revise the layout rather than changing the record.** Select **Columns Chooser** to adjust the columns displayed. Use **Standard Layout** if you need to return to the default arrangement, or use **Add Layout** to preserve a separate arrangement for a particular work need.

5. **If you are maintaining an existing layout, decide whether to retain or remove it.** Select **Update Current** to update the current layout after making changes. Select **Delete Current** or **Delete** only when the layout should no longer be available.

## Examples

A sales representative needs to find the account manager responsible for a customer follow-up and review the manager’s contact details.

1. Open **Configurations > Account Managers**.

2. In **Search**, enter `Aisha Rahman` to locate the relevant account manager record.

3. Review the matching row. Confirm the displayed Name, Email, Phone, Position, and Active values before using the information for the follow-up activity.

4. The representative needs to see only the columns used for contact follow-up. Select **Columns Chooser** and adjust the visible list columns as required.

5. To retain this view for future follow-up work, select **Add Layout**, enter `Customer Follow-up` in **Layout name**, and select **Save**.

6. If the representative later needs the original display, select **Standard Layout**.

The result is a saved list arrangement for follow-up work while the account manager record remains available in the Account Managers list.

## Tips

> **Tip:** Keep the Active column visible when reviewing account manager records so that you can distinguish active records from records that are not active.

> **Note:** Use **Update Current** only after confirming that the current layout is the one you intend to revise.

> **Warning:** Use **Delete Current** and **Delete** carefully. These actions apply to layouts, not to the search results currently displayed.

## Troubleshooting

| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The required account manager does not appear in the list. | The list is not filtered to the correct value, or the search query is too specific. | Review or clear the value in **Search**, then use **Select...** or **Select** to refine the records again. |
| Important account manager details are not visible. | The current layout does not include the required columns. | Select **Columns Chooser** and include the needed columns, or select **Standard Layout**. |
| A custom list arrangement is not retained. | The layout changes were not saved or updated. | Use **Save** for a new layout or **Update Current** for the selected layout. |
| The wrong layout is displayed. | A different layout is currently selected. | Select **Standard Layout** to return to the default list arrangement, then select or create the required layout. |
