## What you need to use Atloria

Atloria is a product-intelligence platform delivered through a web application.

Workspace access and repository setup are separate steps:

## Before you start

**Prerequisites**

- An authenticated session is a signed-in workspace session.
- You have the repository information needed for the connection you are about to make.
An authenticated session is required to load project data.

With these prerequisites in place, continue to Reach the workspace.

## Reach the workspace

The workspace is the authenticated application area where the dashboard and project work
are available.

**Prerequisites**

- You have an authenticated session.

**Steps**

1. Open the workspace and continue according to the page you reach:

   | If you see… | The application does… |
   |---|---|
   | The authenticated workspace | Shows **Dashboard** and loads project data for the authenticated session. |
   | The sign-in page | The workspace is unavailable until the sign-in step finishes. |

**Result:** You are on **Dashboard** when the session is active; otherwise, complete sign-in
before continuing to repository setup.

## Connect a repository

Repository authentication gives Atloria the credentials it needs when a repository is
private or public access does not succeed.

**Prerequisites**

- You are signed in to the workspace.
- You have the repository credentials when public access is unavailable.

**Steps**

The application first tries public repository access without credentials. If that fails, it
tries a connected provider. When those checks do not provide access, the authentication
controls appear.

1. Select **Authentication**.
2. Enter the repository identity in **Username / Token Name**.
3. Enter the repository credential in **Password / Access Token**.
4. Select **Test Connection**.

The **Configuration** tab is also available during repository setup. The authentication
fields are shown when repository authentication is needed.

**Result:** The connection check displays either `Connection successful` or a connection
failure message.

## When access or connection fails

Use the message on screen to choose the next action.

| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| `7-day activity unavailable` | The dashboard's seven-day activity request failed. | Continue with the workspace and retry the activity request when the service is available. |
| `Provide credentials to access this repository. Required for private repos.` | The repository needs private-access details before the check can continue. | Open **Authentication** and provide the repository values in **Username / Token Name** and **Password / Access Token**. |
| `Connection test failed — check your credentials` | The repository could not be accessed with the entered details. | Check the values in **Username / Token Name** and **Password / Access Token**, then select **Test Connection** again. |
| `Connection failed` | The repository could not be reached with the current connection details. | Check the repository values and select **Test Connection** again. |
| `Connection successful` | The repository is ready for the next setup step. | Continue with the project configuration. |
