# Manage users

## Manage users

The **Users & Permissions** surface is intended for managing users, assigning roles, and
controlling access permissions. The page subtitle is `Manage users, roles, and access control`.
Open **Users & Permissions** to reach the page.

## Before you start

Once the page is open, check its status before looking for user-management actions. The page presents
an informational status rather than a user-management form: **Coming soon** appears above
the message "User management functionality is currently under development. This page will allow you to manage users, assign roles, and control access permissions." The page also displays the hint
"Until then, manage membership from your organization settings."

The page contains no user-entry fields, role-assignment controls, access-permission controls, or
user-management actions. Its content appears together without an additional condition, and the
page shows its title, body, and hint together.

The surrounding shell provides these controls:

| Control | What you can see |
|---|---|
| **Search⌘K** | Title **Open command palette** |
| **Notifications** | The button displays the value `9+` |
| **Switch to dark mode** | The button has no visible text |
| **Sign out** | Text label |

**Result:** The **Users & Permissions** page is open, with the **Coming soon** status and its current
membership-management hint visible.
