# Monitor Source Analysis Progress

Use the project’s progress view to check whether Atloria has finished analyzing your source and to review the project information detected during analysis. Monitoring this status helps you know when the project is ready for review and when follow-up may be needed.

## Overview

After you add or open a project, Atloria analyzes its source to identify project information and prepare it for downstream work, such as reviewing changes, comparing versions, viewing screenshots, and using technical documentation.

You can monitor this work from the project area. Select **View Progress** when it is available, then use the displayed **Status** to determine whether analysis is waiting, running, complete, partially complete, skipped, or unsuccessful.

Analysis status is especially important before you rely on detected source information. A successful result indicates that processing completed without errors. A partial result means Atloria completed the analysis but reported warnings, so you should review the detected information before treating it as complete.

### Analysis status reference

| Status | What it means | What you should do |
|---|---|---|
| **QUEUED** | Analysis is waiting to begin. | Keep the project open or return later and check **View Progress** again. |
| **IN PROGRESS** | Atloria is currently analyzing the project source. | Wait for processing to finish. Avoid assuming detected information is final while this status is shown. |
| **SUCCESS** | Analysis completed successfully with no errors. | Review the detected project information and continue to the relevant project workspace. |
| **PARTIAL** | Analysis completed with warnings. Some information may be incomplete. | Review the available results carefully and identify whether the missing or incomplete information affects your next task. |
| **FAILED** | Analysis did not complete successfully. | Review the project setup and try the analysis again if that option is available. Contact your administrator or support team if the issue persists. |
| **SKIPPED** | Analysis was not performed. | Confirm whether analysis is required for the task you want to complete, then restart or request analysis as appropriate. |

## Prerequisites

Before monitoring source analysis progress, make sure you have:

- Access to the **Projects** area.
- A project that has been added or opened in Atloria.
- Permission to view the selected project.
- A project selected from the project list, using **Search projects...** if needed.
- Enough time for analysis to complete if the project shows **QUEUED** or **IN PROGRESS**.

If you manage multiple projects, use **Search across all projects...** from the broader project hub to locate the correct project before opening its focused workspace.

## Step-by-Step Instructions

1. **Open the Projects area.**

Select **Projects** to view the projects you can access. If you are already inside a project and need to choose another one, select **← Back to Projects**.

2. **Find and open the project.**

Use **Search projects...** to narrow the visible project list. If you are working from the all-projects hub, use **Search across all projects...** instead.

Select the project you want to monitor. This opens the focused project area, identified in the project navigation as **1. Active Project** or **2. Focused Project**.

3. **Open progress monitoring.**

Select **View Progress**. Atloria displays the current analysis state for the selected project.

Look for the **Status** label. The value beside or below it tells you whether the analysis is queued, in progress, successful, partial, failed, or skipped.

4. **Interpret the displayed status.**

   Use the following guidance:

   - If you see **QUEUED**, analysis has not started yet. Check back after a short time.
   - If you see **IN PROGRESS**, Atloria is still processing the source. Wait until the status changes before relying on the detected information.
   - If you see **SUCCESS**, analysis is ready for use.
   - If you see **PARTIAL**, review the results because warnings may have affected the completeness of the detected information.
   - If you see **FAILED** or **SKIPPED**, do not assume the project has complete source context.

5. **Review the detected information after processing completes.**

When the status is **SUCCESS** or **PARTIAL**, review the project information made available by the analysis. Use the project navigation to continue to the area relevant to your work:

   | If you want to… | Select… |
   |---|---|
   | Review project changes | **Source** or the project’s changes area |
   | Compare or inspect project versions | The versions area |
   | Review visual captures | The screenshots area |
   | Read generated technical material | **User Docs** or the technical documentation area |
   | Return to the main project landing area | **Open Project Dashboard** |

6. **Return to the project list when finished.**

Select **← Back to Projects** to monitor another project. You can then search for and open a different project without losing your place in the project list.

## Tips and Best Practices

- **Wait for a final status before reviewing results.** Information can change while the status is **IN PROGRESS**. Use detected information for decisions only after the status reaches **SUCCESS** or, with additional review, **PARTIAL**.

- **Treat PARTIAL as a completed result with warnings.** A partial analysis is not the same as a failed analysis. You can often continue working, but verify that the detected project information is sufficient for your task.

- **Use the project-specific progress view.** When working with several projects, always confirm that you opened the correct focused project before checking **Status**.

- **Use search to reduce mistakes.** Enter a distinctive project name in **Search projects...** or **Search across all projects...** rather than selecting a similarly named project from the list.

- **Review related project areas after a successful analysis.** Analysis prepares source context that can support work in changes, versions, screenshots, analytics, and technical documentation. Open the area that matches your next task rather than treating progress monitoring as the final step.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue | Likely cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| **Status remains QUEUED** | Analysis is waiting to start. | Wait and reopen **View Progress** to check for an updated status. If the status does not change for an extended period, contact your administrator or support team. |
| **Status shows IN PROGRESS for longer than expected** | The project is still being processed or requires additional time. | Wait for a final status, then refresh or revisit the project’s **View Progress** screen. Do not rely on incomplete results while processing is active. |
| **Status shows PARTIAL** | Analysis completed with warnings. | Review the detected project information and continue only if it supports your task. If critical information is missing, ask your administrator or support team to investigate the project analysis. |
| **Status shows FAILED or SKIPPED** | Analysis did not run or could not complete. | Confirm that you opened the intended project and review the project setup. If you cannot restart analysis from your workspace, contact your administrator or support team. |
